Engineering Studio and Machine Shop
NEX's professional development workshops are situated in a prime and convenient location, centrally located in Connecticut. Our facility is specifically designed to cater to the needs of professionals seeking to enhance their engineering skills and expertise.
Our premises has an expansive and modern engineering studio. The studio is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including advanced 3D printers and 3D scanning equipment. These cutting-edge tools allow participants to delve into the realm of additive manufacturing, enabling them to bring their creative ideas to life in tangible forms. To complement the 3D printing capabilities, we provide access to Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software. These powerful tools empower participants to design intricate models and seamlessly transition them into production-ready files, facilitating a streamlined workflow from conception to execution.
In addition to the software and 3D printing resources, our facility houses a Tormach CNC mill and Tormach CNC lathe. These precision machining tools offer participants hands-on experience with computer numerical control (CNC) machining, enabling them to learn the intricacies of material removal processes and the production of intricate parts.
For classroom-style learning and collaborative discussions, we offer a well-appointed and comfortable conference space designed to foster an optimal learning environment.
